How should essential oils be stored? How long do they last?

Since oils decay with oxidation, we recommend storing oils in a cool, dry, and dark space, away from direct sunlight. Kitchen and bathroom cupboards can work well!

Essential oils don't expire or spoil like other products, but they change over time depending on the environment they are stored in and other miscellaneous factors. In short, you can use essential oils until they are gone, so long as you store them properly.

What are therapeutic-grade essential oils?

Therapeutic-grade essential oils have a whole different standard for essential oil purity and potency. This standard requires special care and effort to protect what nature has created, which correlates directly with the health-enhancing benefits you expect from essential oils. The oils are sourced from their natural habitat and are not contaminated by polluted soil or pesticides. They do not contain any fillers or artificial ingredients, and companies producing high-grade therapeutic essential oils have strict quality control.

Can I spray the mist anywhere?

Absolutely! Spray any of our mists or sprays on your body or in any room. Our conveniently sized mists and sprays can go anywhere you go—from the office to your living room.

How do you use a powdered clay mask?

Treat yourself to a powdered clay mask once or twice weekly as part of your skincare routine. Follow these five steps to cleaner, softer, and luminescent skin:

  1. Cleanse: Wash your face with warm water and a gentle cleanser. This gives the mask a clean start, allowing for better penetration. Pat dry.
  2. Make the mask: Put a teaspoon or two of clay in a bowl. Add enough water to make a paste. The mixture should be just thick enough to spread.
  3. Apply the mask: Apply the paste with your fingertips or our soft facial brush, covering all the skin except the skin around your eyes and mouth.
  4. Rest: Allow the paste to dry. This is a good time to lie down and relax! Depending on the mixture's thickness, this can take 10 to 30 minutes.
  5. Rinse: Rinse the clay off with warm water. Use a wet washcloth to finish up, if needed. Follow with a rinse of cool water. If you like, finish with a toner and/or moisturizer.

  • Bottoms of the feet
  • Hehind the ears
  • On the temples
  • The wrists

Additional areas include:

SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS

Which Tolly’s Treatments products can I use on my baby and young child?

To keep your little one’s health and safety top of mind for newborns to 24 months, we recommend checking with your pediatrician before introducing a new product to your baby’s routine.

PETSCan I use Tolly’s Treatments essential oils on my pet?

Our strongest recommendation is to speak directly to your trusted veterinarian or animal practitioner before introducing any essential oil-based products for use near or on your pet.

Can I use Tolly’s Treatments aromatherapy room sprays when my pet is in the room?

We recommend waiting until any airborne products (like room sprays, mists, home cleaning products, etc.) have entirely dissipated in the air before allowing your pets into the space you’ve used the product. Additionally, always spray products away from the direct vicinity of your pet.

If your pet seems uncomfortable, we recommend removing them from the room before misting it. As a precaution, your pet should always be able to exit the space freely. Lastly, if your pet experiences any adverse effects, we recommend immediately contacting your veterinarian or trusted animal practitioner.
